On 8 May 2012, SSTC NRS received a letter from the Scopus Content Selection & Advisory Board, which stated that “The journal has been accepted because of its sustained and regular record of publishing articles of high academic standard”.
On 18-19 April and 03-04 May 2012, interdepartmental testing of Rivne-4 hydrogen concentration monitoring system (HCMS) was conducted prior to its commercial operation. By request of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine (SNRIU), D. Skrypchak, junior researcher of the Monitoring and Diagnostics Systems Reliability Analysis Department, participated in the testing for SSTC NRS.
On 23 – 26 April 2012, workshop “Russian Nuclear Fuel Operating Experience at NPPs with WWER Reactors” was held on Khmelnitsky NPP site (Netishyn). Chief experts from NNEGC Energoatom (Ukraine) and JSC TVEL (Russia), representatives of scientific institutes, design and engineering organizations and regulatory authorities participated in the workshop.
On 25 April 2012, representatives of the SSTC NRS Radiation Protection Department and V. Ryazantsev, Head of Radiation Technologies Safety Department of the State Nuclear Regulatory Inspectorate of Ukraine (SNRIU) on invitation of the Embassy of Finland in Ukraine presented the RanidSONNI mobile radiological laboratory. The presentation was prepared for a delegation of representatives from the Finnish Parliament Environmental Committee visiting Ukraine.
